--Fangirl. Yes, I am in my mid-20's, but I still go gooey and starry-eyed over some of the things and people I love. I post quite a bit about Patrick Troughton, Spike Jones and His City Slickers, and my pets or other animals.
--More than just about anything else, I love to listen to music. I love upbeat music, not anything with depressing riffs or disturbing background rhythms i.e., virtually nothing contemporary. I most enjoy listening to raucous dixieland jazz, big band swing, and anything played on the banjo. I also enjoy classical music, ragtime, instumentals from the 1960's, j-pop and anime soundtracks, and any exceedingly silly music.
I most enjoy listening to Spike Jones and His City Slickers, Firehouse Five Plus Two, Jad Paul, Buck Trent, Roy Clark, Eddie Peabody, Freddy Morgan, The Banjo Barons, Turk Murphy, Jelly Roll Morton, Eddie Condon, Knuckles O'Toole, Glenn Miller, Mickey Katz, Benny Goodman, Kay Kyser, Harry James, Xavier Cugat, Cab Calloway, Red Ingle and His Natural Seven, Scott Joplin, Eddie Cantor, Dinah Shore, Matty Matlock, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Henry Mancini, Herb Alpert, Baja Marimba Band, Rockapella, The Monkees, Boyce & Hart, The Beatles, and V6.
--I love to watch TV. Really, I could sit and do it for hours every day.
--I love to follow minor league baseball, but have little time these days. Contrary to popular belief, it is not because I've lost interest, but because I either work nights, or have college class at night. Perhaps once I graduate I can really get back into it.
--Unlike every other fangirl I know, I do not ship. (Yes, my favorite Doctor is the second Doctor. Yes, my favorite companion to have traveled with the Doctor is Jamie. NO, I do not ship Two/Jamie!! I certainly do not believe this contrived issue is "canon," either. Get over it, people.) There is nothing ship related in my journal and never will be.
